California Strategic Plan for Parent and Community Involvement


Description

CA CC provides support and assistance to a cross-divisional California Department of Education (CDE) team developing a strategic plan for parent involvement. The plan will include strategies and standards for engaging parents at state, regional and local (district and school) levels to foster high student achievement. It will also reflect adopted California State Board of Education parent involvement policy, and be consistent with federal and state NCLB and IDEA guidance and regulations.


The CA CC is consulitng with national centers to identify and disseminate research-based practices and other parent involvement resources, including tools to evaluate the effectiveness of parent invovlement practices and strategies.
