Center Overview
The Center on Instruction is one of five content centers providing support to the 16 Regional Comprehensive Centers funded by USED to assist SEAs and districts/schools in need of improvement through the application of scientific research or rigorous, evidence-based findings that improve the overall quality of teaching and learning and contribute to reducing the achievement gaps.
Methods
The Center on Instruction supplies much of the research-based information, products, guidance, analyses, and knowledge on instruction in reading, mathematics, science, special education, and English language learning that Regional Comprehensive Centers will use when working with states, including 1) research syntheses, 2) identification of exemplars, 3) development of materials, 4)dissemination of materials, and 5) professional development.
